Meet Tom
As a young lawyer, Tom Grady moved to Naples 25 years ago to begin practicing law. It was here in Naples he met his wife Ann and where they raised their two children, Ryan and Lauren.
Tom has spent nearly his entire life around Florida politics, starting as a child in Rockledge, Florida, when his father was elected to the City Council and later elected Mayor.
Tom, a lifelong Republican, often says "... back then you could drive for days in Florida and never come across another Republican!" Tom was an intern in 1979 for the Florida House of Representatives Committee on Tourism and Economic Development and was the editor of the Eclipse, the newsletter for FSU Republicans while an undergraduate at Florida State University.
Over the years, Tom has played an important role supporting many of our elected leaders, including Sen. Connie Mack, Governor Jeb Bush, Governor Charlie Crist, Attorney General Bill McCollum, Congressman Connie Mack, Rep. Dudley Goodlette, and many others. In 2006, Tom was honored to be appointed by both Governor Charlie Crist and Attorney General Bill McCollum to serve on their respective transition teams.
Tom's years of experience and success in his legal practice have earned him the highest ranking possible from his peers in the legal profession. Tom's expertise in the areas of Securities and Complex Commercial Litigation have resulted in his being regularly featured in the media, including CNN, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and Florida Trend.
Over the years Tom also committed himself to helping our community. An alumnus of the 1990 class of Leadership Collier, he currently serves on the Board of Trustees for NCH Healthcare System. He is also the past Chairman and current member of the Board of Directors for the Youth Development Foundation, he served on the Board of the Collier County Education Foundation, and was Co-Chair for the Governor's Family Literacy Initiative Celebration of Reading.
Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University, and went on to the Law School at Duke University, where he graduated with distinction.
Tom is proud of the Naples community and looks forward to the opportunity to represent it before the Florida Legislature.
